Policies
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective: August 15, 2026
Awaken Explorers wants every participant to feel clear and confident about their purchase. Refund and cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to awakenexplorers@gmail.com.
The Gateway Monthly Membership
The Gateway is a monthly membership and may be canceled at any time.
Canceling stops all future monthly renewals. Payments already processed for the current billing period are non-refundable. Membership access will continue through the end of the paid billing period.
The Journey
The Journey is a 12-week program offered through either a paid-in-full option or an installment plan.
The installment plan divides the total program price into scheduled payments. It is not a cancel-anytime monthly membership. The following refund schedule applies to both payment options.
- Before the Program Begins
Participants who withdraw before the official program start date are eligible for a 100% refund.
For installment-plan participants, any future scheduled installments will also be canceled. - Within the First Seven Calendar Days
Participants who withdraw within the first seven calendar days after the program begins are eligible for a 90% refund of the total program price.
For installment-plan participants, the amount already paid and any remaining installments will be adjusted so that the participant is responsible for only 10% of the total program price. - After the First Seven Days Through the End of Week Six
Participants who withdraw after the first seven days but on or before the end of week six are eligible for a 50% refund of the total program price.
For installment-plan participants, payments will be adjusted so that the participant is responsible for 50% of the total program price. Remaining installments will be canceled once that amount has been paid. Any amount already paid above 50% will be refunded. - After Week Six
Refunds are generally unavailable after week six because more than half of the program has been delivered.
Access to future Journey sessions, materials, community spaces, and program benefits will end when a withdrawal is processed.
Individual Circumstances
Awaken Explorers understands that unexpected or serious circumstances can arise.
We may consider exceptions on an individual basis, including a larger refund, full refund, transfer to a future program, or program credit.
Participants may be invited to a brief conversation so we can better understand their experience and circumstances. This conversation is intended to support a thoughtful resolution and will not be used to delay a refund that is otherwise due under this policy.
Exceptions are not guaranteed.
If Awaken Explorers Cancels a Program
If Awaken Explorers cancels The Journey before it begins, participants will receive a full refund.
If the program is discontinued after it begins, participants will receive an appropriate refund for the portion of the program that was not delivered.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on Stripe and the participant's financial institution.
Accessbility Statement
Effective: July 6, 2026
Our Commitment
Awaken Explorers is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard navigation. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Conformance means that the content satisfies the WCAG success criteria at that level. Awaken Explorers is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA — some parts of the content have not yet been fully tested against every success criterion.
Measures Taken to Support Accessibility
- Include accessibility as part of our internal design and development standards.
- Ensure sufficient color contrast between text and background colors.
- Provide visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Provide descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
- Associate form inputs with explicit, programmatically-linked labels.
- Provide accessible names for icon-only controls via
aria-label. - Structure content with semantic HTML and a logical heading order.
Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technology
This website is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS.
